This tour is made for those who love the nature and want to enjoy amazing landscapes. The north of  Iceland is full of places that will blow your mind. One example is the Goðafoss waterfall, one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Iceland. It drops 12 meters and has a width of 30 meters.

We will continue exploring the Lake Myvatn area considered the most beautiful and at the same times the most catastrophic place in Iceland.  The ecosystem here’ is truly unique and the birdlife is varied. We will start by exploring the pseudo craters at Mývatn, this natural phenomenon is formed when lava flows over wet ground and pushes the ground down.

We will still have time to have a short walk in Dimmuborgir, a lava labyrinth formed around 2300 years ago when a partly cooled lava lake drained out and left, and then we will then continue to Grjotagja, a popular underground bathing cave among the locals where we could take a nice warm foot bath.

Not only will you see where “Game of Thrones” was filmed, you also get to see where J.R. Tolkien got his inspiration for the magical world of “Lord of the Rings” and find out about his strong connections to Iceland.
